Vendor Requirements & Agreements

You must be enrolled in a degree seeking program (i.e. Associate, Bachelors, Masters, etc.) or a faculty/staff member in order to qualify to purchase academically priced versions of software or technology products. Listed below, you will find the specific "proof" of your academic status and/or other requirements that you will need to supply us in order to process your order. Each form is available in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. If you don't have the Acrobat reader you can download this free utility from Adobe.

  • Download or open the student agreement form (or forms) that you need.
  • Print the form.
  • Fill in the needed information.
  • Sign it.
  • Fax it or scan and email to us along with a copy of your student verification (if required) to 1-888-486-2341 or id@journeyed.com.
Adobe

Requires picture id and a current dated academic id at a degree granting institution. Check Adobe's website for further details. All free upgrade products are supplied direct from Adobe and must be requested by the customer from Adobe within 30 days of purchase and following their manufacturer guidelines.

Alias

In order to be eligible for the Alias Student Access Program, a customer must meet the requirements listed on Alias' website at http://www.alias.com/eng/education/students_and_faculty.shtml. As well, customers must abide by the terms and conditions of the appropriate Alias Software License Agreement which can be found on Alias' website at http://www.alias.com/eng/legal/software_licenses-maintenance_agreements.shtml.

Autodesk/Discreet

(manufacturers of AutoCAD, 3D Studio) Requires a signed Autodesk/Discreet License Agreement form. Academic products are not for commercial use. Products include on-screen and print education disclaimers & print banners. For security purposes all products have a software lock and may contain limited term licenses. All products have a 30-day temp install and must be authorized by Autodesk to complete licensing. UPGRADES- Academic upgrades, students must be original purchasers and provide current verification as well as current serial number. Commercial upgrades require proof of purchase of previous academic version and it must be registered in same name of commercial purchaser.

Auto Des Sys

(manufacturers of Form Z) require a current class schedule or letter issued by the school verifying 9 credit hrs & currently enrolled in animation classes, a copy of student ID and a school issued document stating anticipated graduation date. NOTE: Student cannot be within one semester before graduating to purchase. Faculty purchases require a letter issued by the school verifying full-time faculty status or a copy of current pay-stub verifying full-time faculty status. All Form Z orders also require a signed Special study extension license agreement.

Microsoft

Requires a picture ID and a current academic verification at a degree granting or accredited institution. K-12 student sales are restricted with exception of students enrolled in school districts participating the Microsoft Student Select program or High school seniors with letter of college acceptance. Check Microsoft's Web site for further details. All free upgrade products are supplied direct from Microsoft and must be requested by the customer from Microsoft within their manufacturer guidelines.

Newtek

Requires current schedule showing enrollment in minimum of 6 credit hours and signed Newtek License agreement form. Upgrades require submission of current program serial number.

Minitab

Requires a picture ID and a current academic verification at a degree granting or accredited institution and must be enrolled in accredited courses.

Nemetschek

Requires a picture ID and a current academic verification at a degree granting or accredited institution.

SolidWorks

Requires that students are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a degree-seeking program, or can confirm full-time enrollment in a minimum nine-month certificate-granting program, or that you are a full-time faculty member of an accredited academic institution. Purchase also requires a signed SolidWorks Agreement Form. No technical support available. Product is designed with limited number of re-installations. Product has a 10-day pre-registration usage. Internet capability is required to register product.

Tech Ed Concepts

(CADKEY, DataCAD) Requires picture id and a current dated academic id at a degree granting institution. Products contain education watermark on all files created. Not for commercial use. All Tech Ed Concepts orders also require a signed Tech Ed Concepts Agreement Form.

Wolfram

Faculty sales restricted on Pre-College products to faculty teaching in a K-12 math programs.
